Ian Macrae, Grape Supply and Vineyard Manager

Ian Macrae has been working in the grape and wine industry for nearly 30 years, starting as a viticultural extension officer with the then Victorian Department of Agriculture at Mildura. After a ten-year stint with the Department in extension and research Ian joined Garry Crittenden of Dromana Estate in forming a viticultural consulting company, serving clients in southern and central Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.

Ian joined Kingston Estate Wines in 2006 as Grape Supply Manager and in 2007 assumed the role of Vineyard Manager in additional to his grape supply responsibilities. He has also recently taken on the responsibility for the green house gas accounting for the winery and vineyards and managing the development of a company environmental management system and participation in the South Australian Wine Industry Sector Agreement.
