Brett Duffin, Senior Winemaker

I was born in Ballarat Victoria in 1974, and lived there until I was 18.  After travelling through America and Canada during the 90's, I settled down to study winemaking (oenology) at the renowed Roseworthy College and Adelaide University (Waite Campus) in South Australia. This four-year degree was completed from 1996 to 1999.

I have made wine since graduation in many regions such as Hunter Valley NSW, Margaret River WA, Burgenland Austria, Pyrenees Victoria, Campo De-Borja Spain, and of course the Riverland where I am today.

My experiences have so far had me work in very small boutique wineries that crush just 200 tonnes of fruit per year, right up to the size of Kingston Esate, which had a record crush of 59,000 tonnes In 2009. In all I have completed 15 vintages in both the northen and southern hemispheres working in new and old world settings.

I have a wife named Rita, and two sons Jack and Konrad, born in 2002 and 2005.
