2015 Shiraz

Our Kingston Echelon range showcases some of the best fruit we bring into the winery each vintage. Only wines of exceptional fruit vibrancy and flavour intensity are selected for Echelon, wines that have superb drinkability now as well as the ability to age beautifully. Our home state of South Australia is home to many of Australia’s greatest wine regions and we are blessed to bring in Shiraz from many of these regions each vintage, giving our winemakers a wide selection of different parcels to select from. In 2012 the fruit from Clare Valley and Mt Benson displayed the greatest opulence and it was these parcels that were selected for Echelon, put into oak hogsheads and allowed to mature for 18 months prior to bottling. Cellar maturation followed before release in 2016. BOUQUET Black cherries and vanilla with liquorice and spice on the nose. PALATE Velvety tannins and hints of dark chocolate give way to a harmonious palate of rich berry fruits and pepper with a lingering and refined finish. PAIR WITH Roast leg of lamb with garlic and herbs.
