Vintage Cellar Hands

Casual

Cellar Hands perform various tasks that contribute to the production and dispatch of wine.

This position will suit you if you enjoy working in a team along with being outdoors and physically active.

 

Typical duties of this role include:

• Operation of equipment to crush and press grapes.
• Transfer operations.
• Machine and pump operations.
• Following and assisting with the review of Company Standard Operating Procedures.
• Performing tasks safely and within Company WHS policies and procedures.
• Data entry and auditing.
• Meeting our company Zero Loss guidelines.
• Maintaining equipment to a high standard.
• Other general responsibilities as required.

 

Requirements of the role:

• Be available to work from Monday 3 February – Friday 24 April 2026.
• Be available to undertake rotational shift work, overtime and weekend work.
• Ability to keep accurate records and demonstrate excellent time management.
• Effective problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Ability to follow safe work procedures and contribute to as required.
• Be physically fit.
• A HR or Forklift licence would be considered an advantage.
• Current Confined Space training would be considered an advantage.

Working Holiday Makers and Accommodation Details:

Vintage Vineyard Operators

Casual

The Role

Vineyard Operators are responsible for performing safe vineyard operations including tractor and tote bin driving, observing and mechanical harvesting activities. Applicants should enjoy working outdoors and be available to work at our Paringa/Kangara or Kingston On Murray/Pyap sites.

Typical duties of this role include:

• Mechanical harvesting and tractor operations, including tote bin driving.
• Observation of harvesting activities.
• Meeting our company Zero Loss guidelines.
• Maintaining equipment to a high standard.
• Other general responsibilities as required.

Requirements of the role:

• Be available to work from Monday 2 February – Friday 18 April 2026.
• Experience driving vineyard equipment including harvesters, tractors (or similar).
• Willing to undertake shift work, overtime and weekend work.
• Ability to keep accurate records and demonstrate excellent time management.
• Effective problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Ability to follow safe work procedures and contribute to as required.
• Positive and can-do attitude.

Benefits:

• Casual rate of minimum $33 per hour.

Cellar Supervisor

Full Time

Based at our Winery in the Riverland, this full-time position is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to Cellar Hands and endorsing effective and safe Cellar operations.

Typical duties of this role include:

• Supervise and Lead a team of up to 40 people
• Follow and enforce all WHS policies and procedures
• Maintain and improve efficiency and quality
• Mentor and train staff
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and develop accordingly
• Lead team meetings
• Daily work scheduling and delegation
• Ensure equipment is maintained at all times.
• Show strong leadership qualities and develop a strong culture within the team.
• Have good communication skills to ensure daily targets are met
• Maintain site Security
• Navigate through computer systems to ensure record keeping is accurate
• Observe and maintain all critical control points and quality control points

Qualifications in Wine Industry Operations and Management will be highly regarded.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate 3 in Food Processing
• Certificate 4 in Frontline Management (desirable)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Use of Microsoft applications
• High attention to detail and sound technical knowledge
• Senior First Aid
• Confined Space
• Forklift Licence

Vintage Truck Drivers - MC

Casual

Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe cartage of grapes from our local and interstate Vineyards to our Riverland Winery. This position will suit Truck Drivers looking to work consistent hours close to home or those travelling and looking for an ongoing or once off seasonal position.

 

Typical duties of this role include:

• Carting grapes from our Vineyards to Winery safely whilst to adhering to booking deadlines.
• Communication within the team as priorities or bookings change.
• Following Chain of Responsibility guidelines and road laws.
• Meeting our company Zero Loss guidelines.
• Maintaining equipment to a high standard.
• Other general responsibilities as required.

 

Requirements of the role:

• Be available to work from Monday 3 February – Friday 18 April 2026.
• Current MC Licence.
• Experience driving a road train.
• Willing to undertake shift work, overtime and weekend work.
• Ability to keep accurate records and demonstrate excellent time management.
• Effective problem-solving skills and initiative.

• $2,000 retention bonus subject to meeting conditions.

Vintage Winemaking Technical Assistants

Casual

Vintage Winemaking Technical Assistants provide support and assistance to the winemaking team in the management and control of all aspects of vintage winemaking operations. Multiple vacancies exist on a casual basis throughout vintage period.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Assisting the winemaking team in the management of the winemaking process.
• Collecting, recording and maintaining accurate data throughout various processes.
• Monitoring and maintaining juices, yeast cultures and fermentations to specification under winemaker instruction.
• Monitoring and operating refrigeration plant under winemaker guidance.
• Collection of wine samples from the cellar and writing cellar notes.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge & experience:

• A high-level computer skills and data entry in Microsoft applications, including word and excel.
• A basic knowledge of quality control principles and practices in relation to wine production.
• A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Be physically fit to climb stairs.
• Have the capacity to work a rotating shift roster during the vintage period and be available to work reasonable additional hours as required to meet production needs.
