Located in the far south of our home state of South Australia, the world renowned Coonawarra’s maritime climate and famous strip of terra rossa soil make it an ideal location for growing exceptional wine grapes.

The Coonawarra is also the most prestigious member of the larger wine region known as the Limestone Coast.

The first vines were planted in 1880, though it has been the last 30 years that has seen the region rise to prominence as an iconic red wine producer, especially of Cabernet Sauvignon.

We are blessed to have three vineyards in the Coonawarra, our McBains vineyard sits in the northern end, our small Mo Sisters vineyard lies just outside of the township of Penola while the Glenbrook vineyard sits on the southern boundary. All produce exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, with single vineyard Pinot Noir from Mo Sisters another highlight.
