We’re excited to announce the release of our much-anticipated, award winning, 2015 vintage Echelon Shiraz!
Our Kingston Echelon range showcases South Australia’s finest varieties from the finest regions. Only wines of exceptional fruit vibrancy and flavour intensity are selected for Echelon, wines that have perfect drinkability now with the ability to age beautifully.
The 2015 Echelon Shiraz displays aromas of black cherries and vanilla with liquorice and spice on the nose. Velvety tannins and hints of dark chocolate give way to a harmonious palate of rich berry fruits and pepper with a lingering and refined finish.
This Shiraz has received multiple accolades of which includes two gold medals – 2018 Berlin International Wine Competition and 2017 New Zealand International Wine Show. As well as a raving review from the well-known wine writer Campbell Mattinson from The Wine Front awarding it 91 Points.
“The wine is good. It coats the mouth with flavour. It tastes of blackberry, anise, milk chocolate and mint, a peppercorn/eucalypt note hovering throughout. It has good depth, smooth texture, a fruit sweetness but with a general impression of balance. There’s spread to the tannin too. Looking for a hearty red? There’s alcohol warmth here but it’s a decent option.”
